My Passion
I wake up
I lace my blue shoes, blue as the sky on a sunny summer day
I turn the faucet
I splash cool tingling water on my face
I watch the water drops dance off my face into the sink
I am ready
I get in the car and buckle up
I watch my dad start the engine
I hear the roar of the V8 engine as the car starts
I am happy; we leave the garage and head to the freeway
I am finally at the gym
I walk in, grab my towel and my water and go to the treadmill
I run, following the instructor’s instructions
I can hardly catch my breath,
I am sweating like crazy
I move to the “floor”
I grab my weights
I love the feel of the iron in my hands
I listen to my instructor; we do a variety of exercises
I am sweating like crazy in the end
I am happy to be there
I am glad to work out
I enjoy it!

Grandpa
One of the hardest things I have been through was the passing of my grandpa, Richard
It was always good to see him
He was tall, and had a thick magnum P.I. mustache he would usually wear baseball caps and shirts representing his yacht club
He had two boats, an Islander 36 and an Islander 40 they were both sail boats
He use to live on his boat
My grandpa was a master carpenter and he did all the wood work on his boat
He also remodeled kitchens and bathrooms
He was featured in the San Diego design magazine
We would always do stuff, like going on his boat or to Padres games or out too dinner
At the Padres game we would always sit on the Toyota terrace and try to catch foul balls
The one place I remember always going to dinner at was Corvette diner
When we were on my grandpa’s boat he would always read me heroic stories
I always remember having fancy family dinners with apple cider and chicken at his house
I also remember always watching men in black 2, it was his favorite movie
With my grandpa I always had good memories
I just always wish there was more
Every once in a while I see a sail boat that needs work and I think about him
I love you grandpa

Mi Familia
There isn’t one thing in the world that means more to me, than my family.
They are always there for me.
They are always loving, like a warm blanket calling my name on a winter day.
They always caring, always nice, always kind.
They are best, they are the greatest.
They mean everything to me, they are my family.
There isn’t one thing in the world that means more to me, than my family.
