At my internship I spend a lot of time working on a motor. I'm working on a 4 cylinder BMW m10 motor. With this motor there are a lot of components. Almost each and every one of those components needs to be cleaned and inspected to see if it is in good condition. This might seem tedious but it is important and will keep the motor working well and prevent it from breaking. In doing this I realize that it is important to do everything through and to ask questions when I need help and mainly to see the bigger picture. I will apply these to the classroom when I am back in school.
My hardest challenge at my internship is completing all my tasks withing the day. I can see that being a problem for almost everyone who works at the shop, due to the fact that there are always cars coming in and because there are always projects to be done. Luckily there is a great system with hard working employees so the shop is able to have everyones cars ready.

E Cepeda D Young For the most part everyone whos blog I looked at seems to be doing a lot of hands on self guided work. It is the same for me but I have lots of help from my mentor and fellow technicians. Another thing I noticed in everyone's blog was the fact that their projects all help the company out. How have you guys been liking your internship? Do you feel like you are doing helpful meaningful work? Do you feel like you should be paid for what you are doing? My internship has definitely made me consider a career path in the automotive industry
The first one is a socket wrench the second is and air compressor
I don’t talk to customers much unless I am directing them to someone they need. In the workplace with my co-workers we all talk. People spend most of the time doing their work but it is easy to communicate and socialize because no one is closed off. The technicians work on lifts and kinda have their own areas. Everyone helps everyone with their projects but most of the technicians can work on their own Breakroom
For my project I am going to be rebuilding a BMW m10 motor. I will learn many mechanical skills during this project. This project will benefit the company because they have a client willing to pay to have this motor restored. Handwash station
People who don't understand their car or don't have the time to work on their car. Almost everyone in the community benefits from the shops work. At my internship there is never a quiet moment there are always new cars coming in new projects to be done and phone calls to pick up.Main entrance into the shop
